I came up with the Alpha Shred Challenge because I felt there was more that Sean Torbati (my business partner) and I could do with our resources to help improve peoples’ lives.
Listen, I consider myself a conscious capitalist. That means that anything I do business-wise has got to be for the betterment of people. Some people come to me and are like, “yo, Mike, I don’t feel ready for the challenge just yet.” And I’m like, “No!!” You don’t need to be ready. You can start from zero if you want.
Many people think that they need to start getting in shape before they come to see me. But that’s ridiculous. That’s like seeing a bathtub full of water and thinking that you’re too dirty to get in, you know what I mean?
You don’t need to be in shape. You don’t need to train to start getting ready. You can come to the challenge even if you’ve never been to a gym in your entire life. And, you’d still have as good of a chance of winning as anyone else because transformations are judged on a personal basis!
Is The Alpha Shred Challenge Too Hard For Beginners?
Throughout the years, we’ve had people from all types of fitness backgrounds join the challenge. If you look at the transformations section on the Alpha Shred Challenge site, you’ll see a vast range of body types. Everything from people who were already fit to people who had never worked out before, and now they look like they’ve been getting after it.
Your fitness level doesn’t matter. What matters is that if you do everything that we prescribe for you to do, you’ll be at a significantly higher fitness level at the end of the challenge—that’s a fact for all fitness levels.
Oh You Say You’re Too Busy?
Listen, you can’t be too busy for yourself. You’re probably busy working like I am. However, if you’re not taking care of yourself, you won’t be able to work properly, think properly, or take care of the people you need to take care of. You gotta take care of yourself first.
It’s like on an airplane when they tell you that if the oxygen masks come down for whatever reason, you gotta take care of yourself first! That’s because to take care of others, you gotta take care of yourself!
Listen, everybody has enough time. Don’t be coming here saying you’re too busy. This is just a matter of prioritizing. It’s a matter of you taking out 45 mins off of you playing Call of Duty at night or whatever you do in your spare time, or even waking up a little earlier. When someone tells me they don’t have time, I honestly don’t even try to convince them they do have time.
What Makes Alpha Shred Different From Other Programs?
You may have tried other programs in the past, but I promise you you have never tried any of Mike Rahid’s stuff before. This does work. If you do what I ask you to do, it’s gonna work. And I’m not gonna let you quit.
When I’m training people at the gym, if I’m having someone do some crazy long set, Imma stay with them until they get it done. I don’t care how long it is. I’m not gonna let you quit. In the past, maybe you quit a program. But with mine, Imma make sure that you complete the program.
Listen, you also get access to our private Facebook group, which is like a community. We even get a lot of people coming back from the Alpha Shred Challenge season 1. That’s because we’re there motivating each other to get through this stuff because it ain’t easy.
How Can This Community Help Me?
Everybody is there motivating each other, and that helps. But you also gotta think for yourself and come to the challenge with somebody. You gotta make it easier on yourself. Listen, Sean and I fast a lot, and when I do it, I hit him up so that we get through it together—that makes it easier.
So with this, tag a friend and come in together. That camaraderie is valuable. It’s harder to quit when you got somebody with you. Look, both of you would probably want to quit at some point, but you won’t want to let the other person down.
